Tetrix Game
“Tetris.” Tetris is one of the most iconic and popular video games ever created. It was designed and programmed by Alexey Pajitnov in the Soviet Union in 1984. The name “Tetris” comes from the Greek word “tetra” meaning four, since all the game’s pieces, known as tetrominoes, are made of four square blocks.

The main objective of Tetris is to manipulate these tetrominoes, by moving them sideways and rotating them by 90-degree units, with the aim of creating a horizontal line of ten blocks without gaps. When a line is formed, it disappears and any blocks above it fall down. As the game progresses, the tetrominoes fall faster, and the game ends when the stack of tetrominoes reaches the top of the playing field and no new tetrominoes are able to enter.
Tetris has been released on nearly every video game console and computer operating system, as well as on devices such as graphing calculators, mobile phones, portable media players, PDAs, and more. Its enduring popularity can be attributed to its simple yet addictive gameplay.
